Day 1: Settled in with my Wardli and had a barbecue dinner.
Day 2: Went food shopping and went to the playground for a little and got our first meat order too. In the evening we all played a giant game of spotlight around the Wambana campus, with a giant lamp as the moon, it was full and really quite bright.
Day 3: We had our first 3.4 km run in the morning, it was so hard. Afterwards we went on an excursion to the farming museum in Kadina and then the mining/school museum in Moonta.
Day 4: We camped out at Innes National Park, it was amazing beautiful: the cliffs, wildlife, plants and ocean. We had to pull out heaps of weeds though and pick up rubbish which wasn't enjoyable, but in the end very rewarding.
Day 5: Final Day at Innes, more rubbish and plant pulling to be done before we got back home for first pizza night, it was so yummy.
Day 6: Food shopping again, got so much more food than last time, won't starve at all. Then we went to a really nice beach and played games like tug of war and beach cricket and I went for a swim in the water, it was really refreshing.
Day 7: We went snorkelling and I didn't really enjoy it that much, cold and wet... and nothing really to see either except one orange starfish.
Day 8: The weather was really horrible all day: wind and rain. So we did the Bake-Off then, Wardli 3 designed a cake with a bright orange star-fish and cupcake rocks and it was rainbow coloured inside, and really tasty. Unfortunately Warldi 2 won.

Day 9: We went to Point Pierce Aboriginal School. It was amazing, we made bracelets and played with the kids. The school is R-2 with like 13-16 kids there at a time somedays. They were amazing. So kind.
Day 10: Snorkelling in a rockpool, it was amazing, the rocks were bright rusty orange and there were fish everywhere! But the swells and currents were getting too big so we moved to Treasure Bay where we didn't see as much and it was heaps colder.
Day 11: Yoga to start the day and it was really refreshing, and then we designed the mosaic to go on the fire-pit seats. It will be an underwater scene with a snorkeler, fish, seaweed, starfish and mermaid. It will look amazing.
Day 12: We learnt how the wood oven worked and got going then made our pizza bases, really delicious and then watched the movie 'Wild Child', it was okay I guess, still fun though.
Day 13: It was Emily's Birthday today (one of the teachers) and she baked cupcakes for us. Gavin! At first a random dog we named Sammy, we did not know if it was a boy or a girl, and then learned its real name, and it is the sweetest Border Collie ever, but the magpies and crows are always swooping on him.
Day 14: Today we went for a Scavenger hunt around Point Turton, where Wamabana is located. We had to find cuttlefish, shells, rubbish, the town store, price of petrol, etc and it was quite fun, apart from all the walking around but it was okay because the town really isn't that big at all. Then we did some mosaic work. It is really coming along together now.
Day 15: Today we went to Hardwick Bay and helped the community there. We helped pull out weeds in a big area completely and then planted new native plants in their place. It looked so much better. Then we did more weeding in the garden the previous year of Wildy girls had made. It was very tiring work.
Day 16: Our Warldi is slowly running out of food but it's not that bad I guess. We had to trade our loved Shapes for 2 canned tins of tomato. Today we also went surfing and it was so fun. Today was only a half day and tomorrow is like for 4 hours. We saw a big pod of dolphins riding along the wave and they did backflips and diving and it was so amazing. The waves were really good but I haven't managed to stand completely up yet but I will try tomorrow.
Day 17: Today we went surfing from 8-2. We went to a different spot, just around to the west from yesterday. The waves were really good and I stacked it a few times, but stood up! I rode a wave right into the shore too a few times, and I didn't get out of the water from beginning to end, it was so much fun and I hope I can do it again sometime. We ran out of food, the teachers have given us bread and butter and some cheese and we are surviving off cheese toasties.
Day 18: We couldn't go surfing today because there were no waves where we were meant to be surfing. And the other places the swell were to big. So each Wardli got a bag of hot chips as a consolation prize sort of thing. We have started the long cleaning process and there is a 3 page list of what to do, with little font writing. Cannot wait until I get to hop back into my own bed.
